Thursday travails

After my post yesterday evening, I decided my data transfer was not going anywhere, so turned off both computers.  First thing this morning I headed for Best Buy (parking in a Disabled spot, of course)

 and returned with a Thunderbolt to ethernet connector - something that yesterday's Apple support person assured me would enable the data transfer.

But .... I still had the horizontal bar with blue and white moving diagonals and neither error message nor word as to how long transfer would take.  After a few minutes I picked up the phone again .... and after an hour of diagnostics talk and  "Max" looking at the innards of both computers, I plugged in my Timeshare backup.  That worked!  and 97 minutes later, I had all my data transferred. ... The root cause ... probably Migration Assistant on my MacPro. But no definite word.  Only I seem to want to know!

Then of course more frustrations as I learn to navigate the trackpad and manipulate "Magic Mouse".  But nothing compared with the past couple of days.

HOWEVER, I have to confess that I did not complete a full set of "odd day" exercises today.  So, I'll add an up-to-date picture of my scar to remind myself that I am not yet fully recovered and better get back to the exercise mat tomorrow!
