Boredom, again

It was the beach as usual for more sun, sand, and sea -- and the traditional "big rock" photo  before an early lunch and goodbyes.

I'd had a good week of distractions, and besides doing all the shopping and cleaning Mary gave me several good PT hints - like tensing my abdominal muscles when I push up from a chair so I don't strain my back.  I'm quite adept at using my knee scooter, but it comes at the price of aches in other muscles.

I thought I would be happy to return to my leg-up position with peace and quiet for the afternoon, interrupted only by excursions to tend to the washing machine, but I soon became bored - and not even my novel held my attention completely.  I longed to jump up and DO something!

But it's not exactly the same as at the beginning. My foot and leg feel much better and the post-op cast and bandage is quite loose in places - the swelling has gone down completely.  I'm looking forward to having the stitches out on Thursday and getting a new boot, even if I still can't put my foot to the ground.

Plans for tomorrow?  Ordering Jack about as he cleans and puts things away, returning to using the computer at the table instead on on my stomach, and sorting the papers, magazines and books that have  accumulated in my bedroom over the past couple of weeks for want of somewhere to put them.  And, most important, keeping a smile on my face!
